Aircraft Features

The Avro Business Jet BAe 146 is a medium-range, high-T-tail jet airliner produced by British Aerospace (now BAE Systems) from 1983 to 2003.

This mid-size jet is actually the same size as a large passenger aircraft, comfortably seats up to 46 passengers and is the ideal mode of transportation for business, event or leisure travel with a medium to large group.

The aircraft is powered by four Honeywell LF 507-1F dual-circuit jet engines, each with a thrust of 27.3 kN. The aircraft’s range, depending on cabin occupancy, is 5,000 km.

The aircraft’s landing gear is designed in such a way as to allow landing on unprepared or shortened runways.

The business jet requires a crew of two pilots, assisted by an ARINC 700 avionics suite and Rockwell Collins CNLS. It is complemented by the RDR4A meteoradar.

Avro RJ aircraft feature extremely low noise levels and a short runway, allowing them to be used at urban airports such as London City Airport (LCY), which has a very complex approach layout and a short runway.

The wing mechanization features and the effective air brake located in the tail of the aircraft allow not to use the reverse when landing even on wet runways.

Interior and cabin

The interior design has undergone changes and now features a large cabin for senior executives and a separate business class cabin with 12 seats for support staff. There are three versions of the aircraft: VIP for 8 passengers, Exclusive for 20 passengers and Business for 40 passengers.

The large cabin with decorative lighting has super comfortable VIP seating with group arrangement, a dining and lounge area. A state-of-the-art multimedia system is also installed on board. There is a separate business class cabin with 12 seats for auxiliary staff.
